With a mission to show love to our brothers and sisters whom we see daily and a vision to spread this love and caring beyond the boundaries of our immediate congregation, Jubilee United Methodist Church is engaged in a number of activities and ministries that help people and benefit the community.

Mission: "To treat bodies, change lives, and touch souls"

The Neighborhood Hub

The Hub, located within the JUMC-New City Ministries complex, is the meeting place for a number of community groups working toward the common vision of a healthier community and safer, more nurturing neighborhood. These community groups include New City Ministries, Community Partnership for Protecting Children [CPPC], Neighborhood Partners, Neighborhood Networking, Voter Turnout Committee, UNI's Community Outreach Partnership Center [COPC], and others.
New City Ministries
New City Ministries is a human services organization housed within the Jubilee-NCM complex, and stands in to help wherever help is needed in the community. NCM is an advocate for people in need, and provides help financially; through individual and group counseling; with housing concerns; and through referrals.

Empowerment Group
for Women

Cheryl Faries, founder and
group facilitator
The Women's Empowerment Group helps women get back on their feet and encourages them to get more involved in community life. It also provides women with a forum where they can discuss their challenges and triumphs, and support each other in a positive environment.

Community Partnership
for Protecting Children
[CPPC]
CPPC helps to provide the neighborhood-based supports and services that families need to help children stay safe and prevent abuse before it occurs. CPPC also sponsors and hosts events that promote the safety and well-being of children.
Our Mission:
"To make disciples of Jesus Christ through loving interaction with people in the neighborhood"--Matthew 28:18-20
Our Vision:
"But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the Earth."--Acts 1:8
